KISS driving instructor training in Bishops Stortford

Some excellent news from our Trainee Driving Instructor, "Slav" (prounounced 'Swaav') based near Corby in Northamptonshire. With determination Slav has completed his Part 1 - no mean feat as many of us will recall says trainer Tony of Bishops Stortford. "It took myself several frustrating Part 1 Test attempts to produce the results needed for the Hazard Perception clips. Frankly I think the HP test unfit for purpose as used for the ADI programme - as most experienced drivers anticipate earlier. So well done to Slav for mastering 'the technique' !".

Slav has been preparing for his Part 2 for some months now and his trainers wish him speedy progress to Part 3. Slav trains in Peterborough, Cambridge and Bishops Stortford - with occasional sessions at Goodmayes, near London.

Congratulations to Sophie of Standon, Hertfordshire, who completed her Pass Plus last week. Sophie passed her Practical Driving Test two months ago and decided to wait until the start of the New Year to undertake her Pass Plus with her former instructor Tony Wood in Bishops Stortford. Sophie's course included Town Driving in Cambridge, Motorway and Dual Carriageway using the M11, M25, A10 and A11. Besides that Sophie also did local Rural Driving including Ford crossings and passing heavy farm vehicles. Night driving was a literal eye opener for Sophie, both in town and in the country lanes around Bishops Stortford. Some heavy rain helped cover various adverse weather topics.

Driving Instructor training in Camberley

Dean from Basingstoke, Diane from Farnham and Lok from Aldershot have come to Farnborough for one to one  ADI training delivered by KISSTrainer Alan . Lok is working on ADI Part 2 and the other two are working on their ADI Part 3 techniques and dialogue. Sally is with us from Southampton and all are working hard to help them improve. The KISS driving instructor training programme ensures the trainers work together to collectively deliver client centred learning which helps everyone who wants to become a driving instructor . Because we offer unlimited training our trainee instructors are able to attend two to three training sessions every week.

Should we use a sledge hammer to crack a nut?

The DSA have shown, over the last ten years or more they are unable to drive through change and they certainly haven’t demonstrated how they would train instructors to meet their currently stated  needs. In Germany trainee instructors go to university for six months to study phsycology. Ask a Part 3 examiner ‘why do you want to drive’ and you are likely get the response ‘what’s that got to do with anything’. The first issue is that there are too many trainers with insufficient knowledge to train instructors, particularly in the skills of ‘client centred learning. Similarly they will not be able to deliver coaching skills training, essential to delivering the higher levels of the GDE Matrix. Has DSA considered how this is going to be addressed as without a higher level of competence the instructors will be unable to deliver the driver standards syllabus. The flaws as we see it in the DSA argument for their preferred option are as follows: DSA endorsed the Hermes proje...

Driving Instructor Training in Cambridge

KISS Trainer Gary is doing one to one ADI Training in Cambridge with Slawa and Jerry today. Both of these guys are really working hard to become a driving instructor in their areas, which are Corby and Peterborough. We anticipate both will complete their driving instructor training programme in the next two to three months. KISS Trainers are all trained in-house to deliver our own unique client centred learning techniques using our unique training aids. ADI Part 3 training can be easy when the trainee is given the right material and training to develop their skills, which is why we can promise a 95% succes rate.
